THE ALL NEW REINVENTED RANGE ROVER 2022   For Jaguar-Land Rover (JLR), it doesn’t get any bigger than this. Literally! Let’s first talk about the size. The all-new Range Rover (L460) is a very big SUV, much bigger than the previous one in every dimension. The standard-wheelbase model is around 5m long and the extended wheelbase variant is stretched by a further 200mm, all of which goes into making the cabin that much bigger. But it’s not just about the size. A new Range Rover is also big news for two reasons. Firstly, it’s JLR’s flagship – the Tata-owned British brand’s most expensive, luxurious and technologically advanced car with everything thrown into it. Secondly, a new Range Rover comes along every decade or so, and that means not only does the latest model have to leapfrog all the competitors that came in between, but it also has to future-proof itself for the next decade. While the Toyota Crown isn't a recognizable name to most Americans, it's still a hugely popular vehicle in Japan and other foreign markets. While available in the US for a short time until the 1970s, the Crown has survived sixteen generations in its home market since then, with the latest iteration introduced in 2018.  The  Tesla's Model X has been around for more than six years yet it still turns heads, and that's even before the falcon-wing rear doors open up. This electric SUV has no match among rivals when it comes to acceleration. How's that, you might ask? Well, the Model X Plaid, which is the performance version with three electric motors and 1,020 horsepower, launches from 0 to 60 mph in a claimed 2.5 seconds. The Model X goes big on range, too, posting up to nearly 350 miles of range on a full charge. There's even seating for up to seven passengers. How does the Model X drive?   Performance has become the calling card of the Tesla brand and the midsize Model X upholds that reputation.                                   Launched in 2012, the   Tesla   Model S was one of the first truly ‘desirable’ electric cars and thanks to constant updates, it's still a compelling package a decade later. Capable of the kind of acceleration usually reserved for supercars, the Model S also boasts one of the longest ranges of any electric car on sale, as well as optional 'Autopilot' technology that allows a degree of hands-free driving. Many versions and trim levels have been offered since launch, although only two are available to order today: Long Range and Plaid. Tesla says the Long Range delivers a range of 405 miles – the  longest of any electric car on sale  today, bar the  Mercedes EQS .
